This week, students are answering questions about who they are, what they like and what their family is like. They will do peer interviews and we are playing scoot. Friday and next week, we will be working on post assessments in speaking, writing and reading.
We are finishing our movie with French subtitles and doing our worksheet en francais. Next, we are moving onto review of the French calendar, numbers and holidays. Worksheets will be posted here as they are assigned.

Mon-no school Tues-Craft day (mastercopy of a French artwork or original art featuring anything French) Wed-Game day (multiple stations with French games, such as scrabble, marshmallow monument building) Thurs-Food Day (students taste new food made by classmates and then other language classes' food) (project grade for food/dish made and wearing a t-shirt) Fri-Movie Day (Students are watching a musical in English with French subtitles and then doing a worksheet in French next week on the movie) This week, we are reviewing food vocabulary and making Saint Valentin cards in French for friends/family/loved ones. 1/2 day on 2/14

This week we are working on reading comprehension and the imperfect tense.
We read an article in French about YouTube and answered questions about the article. Students are doing a summative assessment activity on the imperfect tense to demonstrate, both in writing and orally, what they know. They are writing 15 sentences in the imperfect to talk about what they used to do as children/preteens. Students will then share 3-5 sentences that are special or unique to them. imperfect_activity_folded_paper.docx If you were absent on 1/17 and were not on a field trip, you are responsible for completing the honor code worksheet attached below. This week, we will have a quiz over adjectives/appearance on Wednesday. We are going over family terms this week to be able to discuss ourselves and our families. Next, we will learn the imperfect tense to be able to talk about our lives when we were young.
This week, we are reviewing adjectives, colors and ways to describe our appearance. We also reviewed "Go Red," our new school slogan, and what it stands for. Attached are any worksheets or powerpoints we went over. The celebrity appearance assignment was to write 3 sentences (in French) to describe each of the people pictured. 5 women/girls and 6 men.
